A Message of Hope to Zoomers

If you were born between the years 1997-2012 you belong to Generation Z or what most refers to as Zoomers.

And if you’re reading this, I just want to apologize to you and your generation.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

This is not the American dream your forefathers intended to create for you.

You were not supposed to be struggling…

  • Financially
  • Culturally
  • Politically
  • Emotionally
  • Mentally
  • Physically

If anything, life was supposed to be easier for you, than it was for us millennials, and easier than Gen X, and easier than Boomers. But it hasn’t turned out that way at all.

Your generation’s childhood got one shotted.

But I do want you to know that even though Gen X and Boomers are out of touch, my generation, the millennials, understand your plight. We are linked with the pain and struggle that you are going through simply because it’s happening to us too, just at a later point in life (Our 20’s, 30’s and 40’s). We millennials had an advantage though. Unlike your generation, we at least got to have a good normal childhood back in the 90’s. Unfortunately, your generation has known nothing but strife. This one thing makes all the difference in mindset.

Millennials by our nature are optimistic. Whereas your generation, well…isn’t.

To be fair, if I grew up in the shitstorm you experienced, I would have a different outlook too.

But what’s done is done. History is set in stone, and we cannot change that which we have no power over.

But…

As a millennial, I feel it is my duty to reach back down the ladder and offer not just a helping hand, but a map to help you all navigate these tough times.

I am especially invested in your generation (And Gen Alpha) because I have two children that are Zoomers, and I deal with this firsthand.

So, what can you do in this era of conflict?

I recommend falling back on what works. And what works is the old school way of thinking.

What do I mean by that? I mean learning what it takes to be successful in the first place.

Despite what you may believe, you are not the first generation to experience ‘tough times’. The silent generation had to deal with the Great Depression and World War 2. The Gilded Generation watched their country be torn apart during the Civil War. During these tough times in history, people relied on a tried-and-true mental system to help them cope.

This mental system is actually a philosophy in disguise that anyone can use.

It’s called “Personal Development” and it’s all about making yourself better as a person in every way possible.

Now hold on, don’t leave, let me explain.

You may be thinking this is a ‘bullshit cop out’, but it’s not. I promise you that it is the foundational philosophy that separates winners from losers. The economy, the culture, life itself could get worse or better, but when you adopt this philosophy, you take charge of life, and tell it what you want from it, regardless of what state the world is in. This philosophy helped me go from a depressed, unemployed, divorced, loser to a happy, retired, married, winner in just 15 short years.

Adopting this is like having an engine on your boat out in rough seas. Yeah, you might get a little sick, but if you know where you’re going, you will eventually reach your destination. However, without this mindset, you are at the mercy of “current events” out in the sea of life (See what I did there?), and you will be carried wherever the current takes you, for better or for worse.

Personal development is the engine that takes you to where you want to go in life.

Want to make lots of money? Learn personal development.

Want to find true love? Learn personal development.

Want to live a happy life? Learn personal development.

And the first and most important lesson in personal development comes from Success Guru Jim Rohn.

“Work harder on yourself, than you do on your job.”

Not very many words, but very specific ones.

In life, even during the Boomer and Gen X era, people would focus on only getting a job, having a family and doing the bare minimum in life until they died. Ironically that was enough to make it back then. Those days, as you know, are long gone, yet that’s what many kids of your generation are still doing. They go to college, or get a job and do the bare minimum, but this time, because things have changed for the worse, they are struggling unlike the boomers who could buy a house for a dozen raspberries.

So, what you have to do is make a commitment. Promise yourself that you will get better, that you will get smarter, and you will live a life of improvement.

Sure, it’s not going to fix the economy or the dating pool, but it can be enough to make you financially and romantically stable.

Now you may be wondering, “OK Will, sounds interesting, how do I do this exactly and how much does it cost?”

The good news is that its 100% FREE, ahem… No cap (as you all say).

Seriously everything you need to know in order to master the skill of personal development is here on this site in chronological order.

I’ll be sharing with you the secrets past generations used to become ridiculously successful. Sometimes the old school is the best school, because it works.

The reason I’m not charging money is twofold.

Number 1) Because I make my money via investments. (I don’t need your pennies peasant.)

Number 2) You need the advice and helping you makes me feel good.

Now I want to give you a real glimmer of hope. Not BS clickbait, but real light at the end of the tunnel. Let me take you outside and show you the horizon, where cresting over the hill top of your future, is the first glimmer of hope your generation has been waiting for.

Have you heard of “The 4th turning” or “80-year cycles”? If not, no worries, it’s easy to understand. It’s a cycle of ups and downs that civilizations tend to experience, which is popularized by author Neil Howe. I’m sure you’ve seen the meme “Good times create weak men, weak men create bad times, bad times create strong men, strong men create good times?” Well, this is where that meme comes from. The most important fact you need to remember is that eras tend to follow 20-to-25-year cycles.

The last agreed upon ‘Bad time/Crisis’ happened in 1928 with the stock market crash and didn’t end until 1945 with the end of World War 2. This era created the Strong Men which propelled society into good times or ‘high era’ from 1946 to 1964. These were the good times that the strong men created. The next generation experienced what was called the ‘Awakening’ Era where the civic order established by their ancestors comes under attack. This era occurred from 1964 to 1984. The next era after that was called “The unraveling’, which happened from 1985 until 2007. The old ways of doing things begin to die out, and the institutions that were propped up begin crumbling or end up on life support. Things may have seemed good on the surface in this era, but the rot is real, and it’s doing damage. (This was the era I grew up in and I remember it fondly, but now as an adult, I can go back and see how many issues we face came from this era.)

From 2008 until today, we are officially in the 4th turning or 4th era which is “Crisis”. And honestly, I think that is the best way to describe the era we have been living in. The 2008 great recession hit, the global war on terror was in full swing, and the culture war has led to a cold civil war where half the country hates the other half.

The bad news is that you are not imagining things. Society does suck right now. But here is the light at the end of the tunnel I promised you. As of the writing of this post on Aug 25th, 2025, according to Howe, this era is almost over and it’s grand finale is coming soon. You can expect things to finally start getting better as early as 2027 or as late as 2033. Barring some Biblical catastrophe, you can rest assured that your future will be bright, even though it doesn’t seem that way right now.

So lets put this all together.

The future is only going to be difficult for just a little longer, 2 to 7 years tops.

And now is the time to prepare and give yourself an unfair advantage in this future era of prosperity by adopting this personal development mindset.

Because if you can learn to thrive when things are bad, believe me, when things are good, it will be like hacking real life. Life will feel ‘easy’ and you will finally be able to rest. It’s happened to other people before in history and can happen for you too, you just have to prepare.
